2016 — First optical sorter installed at a Selangor apple packing house, replacing a 12-person manual grading table.
2018 — In-house engineering team formed to adapt conveyor frames for tropical humidity and high washdown frequency.
2020 — Launched a modular sorting platform that lets packers add camera modules without rebuilding the line.
2022 — Opened a spare-parts depot in Klang, cutting replacement lead times from weeks to two working days.
2024 — Commissioned a six-lane apple line in Johor that processes 18 tonnes per hour with a single operator.
Pepipommes started with one sorting module and a simple promise: make automated grading practical for Malaysian apple packers. Each installation taught us something about washdown routines, belt tension, or fruit handling that we folded back into the next design. Today our machines run in packing houses across the peninsula, but the engineering rhythm is the same — measure, adjust, test on real fruit, then ship.
We work alongside corporate apple processors and packing houses that need dependable sorting lines. These are the partners who helped us refine our conveyor systems and optical sorting modules for real-world conditions.
Runs three stainless steel sorting lines in Ipoh, handling Granny Smith and Fuji varieties for export.
Integrated our laser sorters into their existing belt network, cutting manual inspection stations from twelve to four.
Uses our heavy-duty conveyor belts for bulk transfer between washing, drying, and packing stages.
Adopted our modular sorting frames for seasonal peak loads, allowing quick reconfiguration between apple grades.
Relies on our optical sorters to separate bruised fruit before cold storage, reducing spoilage during long hauls.
From a small Klang workshop to full-scale automated apple processing systems, each phase added a specific capability we still rely on today.
